About Our Office
Bakersfield Oral Surgery Center is an outpatient surgery center. We specialize in taking care of you. We accept most PPO insurances as well as Denti-Cal. When you visit our office, your oral health and safety is our top priority. Our entire team is dedicated to providing you with the personalized, high quality care that you deserve. We provide surgery under general anesthesia to ensure your visit with us is comfortable and pain free.
Gerald D. Horner
Doctor Gerald D. Horner is from Detroit, Michigan. He went to the University of Michigan for his undergraduate's degree and to the University of Detroit Dental School. He then completed a residency and medical training at the University of California, Davis, where he graduated with his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Degree. He is a member of the American Society of Oral and Macillofacial Surgeons, California Society of Oral and Facial Surgeons, and American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Back Office Staff
Dr. Horner is backed by an amazing staff. Whether you are in our office for the first time having your New Patient Evaluation or you are a returning patient coming in for surgery, you can be rest assured you will be under the best care possible. All of our surgery staff members are ACLS certified and have the knowledge and experience to take care of you.
Front Office Staff
Our front office staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have, schedule your initial New Patient Evaluation appointment and give you any additional information you may need.
For Our Patients
Your first appointment is very important to us. We will gather information such as your health history, the treatment you are being referred for, x-rays and photographs. We will go over the treatment plan, and what is to be expected the day of your surgery as answer any questions you may have regarding the treatment. We will also obtain insurance benefits and breakdowns.
Instructions Before Surgery
It is very important that you follow the directions that are given to you before your appointment. This will ensure that we give you the best care possible while at our office. After your surgery, we recommend plenty of rest and good nutrition. Whether you are scheduled to come in for surgery or have already had surgery, the link below will give you detailed instructions on what to expect and how to take care of yourself post surgery.
